Real faith for real people who mess up. A 365-day journey through the awkward, the honest, and the undeniably holy moments of being human.

Growing up, I attended church only occasionally. As I got older, my visits became even less frequent. I prayed when I was in need, firmly believing in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Yet, I fell short. I lacked an understanding of what God wanted for my life. I had no idea how to live according to His design. I was a knucklehead.
Perhaps by sharing my experiences, we can grow together—learning to laugh more, especially at ourselves, forgiving others fully, and, most importantly, extending that same grace to ourselves. The goal of this devotional is simple: to deepen our walk with God and develop a unique, personal relationship with Christ.
Let me share my foundational statement of belief:
God is God.
God gave us the Holy Bible through a variety of people—a gift for all of humanity. The Bible is not just a sacred text but a historical and factual record that reinforces divine truth. We find the blueprint for how we were created to live within its pages. It reveals both our sinful nature and the path to redemption, offering guidance and examples to help us overcome sin.
At its core, we must shape our lives around God’s design, not reshape His word to fit how we want to live.
God’s word is complete; nothing can be added to or taken away. It is whole, unquestionable, and the foundation of this devotional.
We stop pretending we have it all together. This isn't about being perfect; it's about being present in the chaos.
Questions are the heartbeat of growth. We lean into the hard stuff instead of running for the easy answers.
Built for the long haul. A faith that can survive the storms because it's anchored in something bigger than us.
First Corinthians 1:10 (NLT)
“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.”
How do a bunch of knuckleheads live in harmony? That’s a million-dollar question. Harmony is a consistent and orderly or pleasing arrangement of parts. We typically associate harmony with music, perhaps a choir. All it takes is one voice out of tune to disrupt all the beautiful sounds.
Another analogy is the winning drive in a football game. Not only are eleven players on the field working in unison but also the coaches. Harmony is all about how we choose our attitude. How do we convey those feelings both inside and outside of church?
Being like-minded and having a heart of cooperation is what the church needs. Living in harmony is what the world needs a little bit more of. Being disruptive and complaining reflects immaturity.
